I work with importers, distributors and manufacturers. Below is what I do and how the work usually goes.
Discuss your taskI take on a task only if the result can be measured. I start with the market and the audience and finish with a coherent brand image that helps sell.
I talk to buyers, sales staff and distributors and look at the sales data. I find out why people buy from you and why they go to competitors.
From what I have learned I put together several positioning options and test them against the numbers and against what is already on the market.
I show interim results and you make corrections. By the end of the project we have already discussed everything important together.
I bring it all into one document: positioning, messages, an action plan. You can hand it to your team and designer and get to work.
Six formats. If your task falls somewhere between them, we will talk it through.
We work out what customers value you for, how you differ from competitors and how to say it simply. You get a brand platform and a plan for what to do with it next.
I look at the brand as a whole: sales, audience, competitors, packaging, website. I tell you what works and what gets in the way, and suggest what to fix first.
From the idea to first sales: naming, positioning, packaging, certification, getting into sales channels. I have launched three brands this way and know where projects like this usually stall.
For when the strategy already exists or is not needed yet, and what you need is a clear style. Logo, colours, typefaces and rules for using them in advertising and on the website.
For when you have a designer but no strategist. I write the brief, explain the brand rules and review layouts so there is less rework.
A one-off meeting with the owner or the marketing lead. We go through the situation and decide what to tackle first. The first consultation is free.
